Tim + Sarah = Engaged!

Tim and Sarah are self professed ‘picture people’. Can I just say I heart picture people? They’re willing to do almost anything to capture a great moment. One of the places I’ve been wanting to shoot at is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk… I came close once, but at the last moment the session was cancelled. Drat. So when Sarah said, “… boardwalk”, I think I might have started jumping up and down. There are so many things I loved about this session, and I could go on and on, but I think I’ll let the pictures and slideshow speak for itself.

Congratulations Tim and Sarah! I know your wedding isn’t until next year, but can’t wait to see you once more!

PS

I know. This is a lot of photos. But when I was struggling to narrow them down I suddenly realized this is my blog. I can do whatever I want. Total power. And yep. It went straight to my head.

okay…. um… maybe I won’t get all power crazy too often!

Delicia + Logan = Married!

Wow! What a busy week I have had! But I wanted to pop over to my blog to let you know, yes, I am still alive, and shooting. Here is another fantastic wedding. Delicia and Logan were married at Hollins House in a beautiful ceremony. She customized the location with so many personal touches, which made it truly unique. From the sunflower arrangements to their programs, the day was truly theirs. Please enjoy the photos!

Kath + Jim = Engaged!

Recently the BF, the cutest puppy ever, and I, decided to go to the Hawaiian festival in San Francisco. It was windy, but fun. We walked around, watched some hula dances, ate good food, and of course but the doggy something Hawaiian flavored. While walking around it occurred to me, why have I never done an E-Session in the Presidio. The same week I sent off an email to Kath and Jim suggesting this as the location for their engagement session. They seemed happy and agreed, they live in the city so it’s not really out of the way for them.

Although I have to admit, I’m kind of mad at Kath.

I loved her outfit, shoes, everything. I told them that I might have to go to the mall the next day, and yes, I did. Although I actually got sidetracked by the J. Crew store… so maybe I should forgive her. =-)

Jim was such a good sport as well. I’m always amazed when the men don’t run screaming into the woods after about 5 minutes of taking photos. I should probably raise my estimation of the patience of males. Who knew?

Hope you enjoy the photos as well as the slideshow!

Michelle + Peter = Engaged AND Married!

Michelle and Peter decided at the last moment, hey, maybe a mini engagement session would be cool. So of course I was up for it. Although we just had a short amount of time, we made the best of it by walking around the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. One of their favorite haunts. Peter had specific things he loved, so we definitely made sure to include those.

Then it was on to their fab wedding at the San Francisco Film Centre! If I had to describe this evening in short blunt sentences I would say the following:

Presidio
Cornbread (MY FAVE!)
Corn on the cob
bbq
Rock Band

That’s right. I just said Rock Band. Peter pulled out one of his favorite games at the wedding and you could tell that their family and friends just thought it was great. They lined right up!

Michelle had two beautiful dresses, the first was a super chic simple number by Calvin Klein, the second a tradition red Chinese dress. I took a photo of this dress that is included in the slideshow, in the photo to the side you can see Michelle’s reflection. I noticed this when reviewing the images and just fell in love. Hope you enjoy the images and slideshow! Have a great weekend!

Featured!

Elizabeth Anne Designs is a visually delicious wedding blog. Filled with beautiful photos of color themed weddings, favors/centerpiece/decoration ideas, you can easily lose three times the amount of time that you had originally planned.

On the advice of one of my lovely fans/hopefully future clients, I went ahead and submitted one of the weddings I had photographed. This particular wedding is lovely Alex and Rachel’s. Almost immediately I heard back that they would love to feature the photos. Wow! I’ve never submitted anywhere before, so I thought there would be a much more difficult process. Not quite rings of fire and lakes full of snapping piranhas, but challenging none the less. No such thing here!

Perhaps I’m that great? Hrm. Ha, I guess I will have to start submitting more often to find out!
