Connie + Will = Married!

Connie and Will have been together for 8 years (crazy I know!), and so for them getting married on August 8th had special meaning. Of course that wasn’t the only thing that had sentimental touches. Connie’s mother made not only her wedding dress, but her evening dress, along with the bridesmaid dresses. Will cried as he danced with his mother to the song he sang to her as a child moving from one country to the next. The minister that married them approached them after the ceremony to let them know, their vows, personally written, touched his heart, made him tear up. Can you guess how lucky I feel to have been there on this momentous day?

As always, enjoy.

Brian + Aimee = Married!

Okay, so you’ll probably notice that I have like, no detail shots in the following images. Why did I do that? Um. Because! Just kidding. I did that because these preview images were made less for this blog and way way more for Aimee. When I was editing I was all, “Whoa. I have to show her this one. And that one. Wait! No! This one.” Yes, apparently when editing I turn into a late nineties nerd complete with glowing computer screen, frazzled hair, and caffeinated beverages close at hand.

I may or may not own an over sized plaid shirt as well.

I know I say this all the time, but I truly love my clients. They are fun, they are quirky, they are kind hearted and easy going and just about a billion other things that are pretty awesome. Brian and Aimee are no different. Since their engagement session I was looking forward to seeing them both again, and of course, on one of the most important days of their lives. They failed to let me down. Aimee made, ‘that’s what she said!’ jokes, Brian hugged me the moment he saw me, carried Aimee into a dusty field without complaint, practically joyfully!, and asked me if their was anything else I’d like for him to try.

Um, yes. Please balance Aimee on one hand.

It was such a fun day. Both Jessica, my second for the day, and I had so much fun. Memorable moment? When it was revealed in toast that these two were not only introduced through friends, but coerced to finally go out on a date. I was surprised that they had to be talked into that one, but look where it led! Enjoy the images.

A little post dress session, Elvis style.

I swear I did not suggest this one. It was totally unexpected, so guess how hard I laughed?

After the last goofy image, we decided to get serious again. Champagne anyone?

Uncle Steve and Pat - August 27, 2009 - 4:01 PM

They are the absolute best pictures. The setting is fantastic and the models aren’t too bad either. I love the goofy ones and those are what you’ll remember. You all look beautiful!!!

The pictures are great. How do we go about getting copies and will all of the pictures be shown on internet?

These pics are both adorable and beautiful!! Aimee, you and Brian did a fantastic job on your choices for making the wedding beautiful. Congrats to you both!! Cheers to everlasting love, lots of children, and great health.

Rafael + Lorena = Izel

Since their wedding I’ve had the chance to see Rafael and Lorena a few times, this last was the best though since I’ve gotten to meet their daughter Izel now. She’s soooo unbelievably cute that words can’t compete. On to the images!

Sarah + Tim = Married!

Sarah and Tim are mini famous for their awesome engagement session at the Santa Cruz boardwalk.

I’ll tell you a secret, they think they came up with that idea (because they did!!), but I had a session planned there and had yet to find a couple to agree. So when they suggested it? I was all, sure, awesome! And then I went home and rubbed my hands together in mischievous glee. The next best thing about this shoot was how willing they were to try anything I suggested. Walk out onto the bridge where you can see straight through the bottom to the ravine beneath? Sure! Etc. etc. So when it came time for their wedding day I was super psyched. I knew we were going to get absolutely amazing shots that they would love.

Their ceremony was filled with love and emotion, which I think shines through in the images. I hope you enjoy their day as much as I enjoyed being there. To Sarah and Tim, may their married life be filled with as much happiness, joy, color and laughter as their wedding day!

I love it when couples choose to see one another prior to the ceremony. They make for some of the best images.

Aren’t these some fun shots??

You can see all of their emotions right on the surface in their ceremony shots.

While I was taking this amazing image my second was taking another amazing image from a different angle. It’s amazing how you can have such different beautiful images from the same pose. Also, I LOVE having a second shooter! This is Jessica’s shot. Not only does she take beautiful images, she’s super fun to work with.

I know, a lot of images huh??? Whew! Okay. Buck up… on to the slideshow!!
