David + Maria = Married!

There’s something about meeting a couple. In that first interview I often ask questions of how they met, got engaged, fell in love, that always just sticks with me. David and Maria met in high school. They went to college together. I imagine that during that time life took them on roads that sometimes diverged, and then met once again. Perhaps unexpectedly. Of course then there’s the engagement session, where the real fun begins! We laugh, I make them do silly things, and during the course of those few hours we get to know each other more. Since I met this couple I learned how quietly loud David can be, how softly strong Maria can be. In the end, they both seem to be the one in charge, which I found funny and endearing. David and his friends surprised my second shooter, Krissy, the day of with their crazy antics. And then they treated her to pizza. Maria surprised me with a gift when I arrived. Their first dance was crazy loud and fun. Their photos are as beautiful and stylish as they are. David hugged me on my way out, and as I followed Maria through packed dance floor she reached back to grab my hand.

I think they have a wonderful life ahead of them with so many family and friends, it is sure to be joyful even during the chaotic unexpected moments. I thank them for allowing me to capture a part of it. Please enjoy.

FERDINAND MARIANO - October 1, 2009 - 8:17 AM

Congratulations to both of you. Always remember that Love draws you both into marriage and it is love also that holds you together in marriage. Before marriage, love transforms life into a dream and in marriage, love gives the strenght to turnn these dreams into reality. Love is the magnet that draws you both to live together and in living together, love becomes the fertile ground on which happiness is nurtured. Just always remember that marriage is not a walk in the park nor “fairy tale stories” and they lived happily ever after. But it’s a challenge, you need extra ordinary patience to make marriage last a lifetime. A Christlike love is what the marriage partners need for successful life together. Marriage really requires patience for example contrary to expectations, the wife may find her life even more complicated than before. On the other hand, husband soon discovers that marriage could be most demanding. and when the babies come, the pressure really bulds up. It will, thenn very easy for both partners to be come irritable. But then the Word of God says: love is gracious, always ready to serve, always ready to forgive “Love is patient, love is kind,,” wrote Paul. Love is not easily provoked to annger. Instead, love responds with positive goodness to those who ill-treat it. Love is not easily lose its temper. It is pleasant gracious and ready to serve. “love is not self seeking, it is not easily angered.” Love is not touchy or irritable. It is not to take offense but is always ready to forgive. this is what Christlike love is.

Kim + Anthony = Engaged!

I had so much fun on this session, and I have to say, I love these images. Going though, editing them, I was all ‘Oh my goodness look how cute they are!!’. Yes. I’m totally girly like that. I did have a moment where I felt bad though… as you look through the slideshow you’ll see a series where Kim jumps. And she does a fantastic job!

I. Um. Maybe made her do that like four times. Over and over. Because I was convinced I didn’t get it! But you know what? I totally did. Poor Kim! I hope she still had fun though, especially when she sees this awesome slideshow!! The moment I heard this song on the radio I picked it out for this particular couple. Enjoy!

There is something about this images that makes me swoon.

This is, like, 100 percent the reason I make people jump, jump, jump around.

Okay, how adorable are they? Seriously? Could it get any cuter? Her shoes, his smile, like, everything is pretty awesome right here.

The photos are wonderful! I completely enjoyed jumping- think of it as practice for the wedding. Thanks for the fun time and amazing pictures! :)

i have become such a huge fan! i love looking at all your work. its fantastic!

Waiting…

I’m occasionally asked the question, “Do you do maternity sessions?”, and the answer is a resounding yes. No, this isn’t something I necessarily advertise. To be honest, weddings keep me quite busy! And I’m so glad they do. So primarily family sessions and maternity/baby sessions are done on special inquiry. I have to say, I love hearing from previous clients that they are expecting.

That said, I did not get to photograph this beautiful couple’s wedding! They are cousins of Rafael and Lorena’s, and when they saw the session I did for them and their newest addition, Izel, they asked if they could get in on the fun. Small secret? I totally remember Abril. I’ve done two weddings for Rafael and Lorena’s family, with a third coming up, and every time I go it’s great to see familiar faces. Who wouldn’t remember Abril? She’s beautiful, especially with her gorgeous eyes. It was great getting to know her family a bit more, and I’m so glad I was able to document them waiting for their new addition, a baby girl.

I’ve been caught up with so much work, but I know how anxiously they’ve been awaiting their slideshow, so without further ado, TA-DA!

Enjoy,
