Carolyn + Eric = Married!

Outside my window it seems that it’s the beginning of a fake summer. I say ‘fake’, because although it’s sunny and my keypad warm under my fingers, I know if I were to step outside it would be cold. Cold, cold, cold. Of course it’s San Francisco, and as my fiance assures me, ‘the home of no summer’, but still. It’s a cold June.

For the past few weeks I’ve been at this computer, processing images, and during that time I’ve gone through loads of iTunes music and Advil to combat computer monitor headaches, but I’ve also been able to relive the weddings I’ve shot over and over. I won’t lie to you. While I edited Carolyn and Eric’s images I totally and completely teared up.

Their wedding took place at Eric’s family home, and it was not cold. Far from it. More than the temperature, what most struck me at this wedding was how very close their families are. I could only think that 20 years from now, this happy couple will have become a happy family. Congratulations Eric and Carolyn, so glad that I was able to share these moments with you.

Amy + Roy = Married!!

I like my job, no, I LOVE my job, for about a million different reasons. Amy and Roy are two of those reasons. They met in High School, and no, they are not the first couple I’ve met that met in high school, which is why I love hearing this story. Because you know what? High School sweethearts totally exist. And that’s awesome.

Some of the fun points of their wedding were, the money dance, cute personalized buttons that they stayed up making the night before, special jewelery picked out for the girls, and of course the Shooting Range.

Enjoy!

Best idea I’ve seen for group and candid wedding pictures. Also the perfect fit for your fun and fabulous wedding!

Karen + Albert = Engaged!

I remember distinctly the first time I spoke with Karen because of just how short the conversation was. She asked me if I was available, a few other small details, and then said, I’d like to hire you.

I was a little shocked, but, I had my whole spiel! My bio, experience, etc. Patiently she interrupted me letting me know she had been following my work online. She loved it. She’d made her decision, no spiel needed! Which is good for me, but still, I’ve been looking forward to meeting her and Albert in person and having the chance to get to know them a bit better.

So what can I say now? After having met them? I can say that Karen has amazing taste. I loved her outfits, the amazing props that she had found at a local antique store, and the vision of her wedding day she described to me. At one point I said to her, these pics are uh-may-zing. They belong in an Anthropologie magazine! You know what? She knew exactly what I meant! And Albert? In the short time I spent with him he struck me as a genial guy, with an easy laugh and relaxed nature that made me positive Karen had found a great guy to share her life with. Enough said, on to the images!

Oh, and don’t forget to check out the slideshow, which is, of course, mandatory cuteness.

T

Kneeling down in the grass I became quite blinded by the sun. This happens quite frequently I have to admit! Normally I get exactly what I’m going for. This time, the image is not framed the way I had imagined, and the overall effect is a bit off from my original intention. However? I love what we ended up with. Look at that grass, is it just me or is it like a painting? Beautiful.

This is when my nerves started singing, “Anthropologie!”

Karen - June 1, 2010 - 10:17 PM

Terra!! I love them! The pictures came out amazing. Thank you!

Kelly Ann - June 24, 2010 - 5:25 PM
