Outside my window it seems that it’s the beginning of a fake summer. I say ‘fake’, because although it’s sunny and my keypad warm under my fingers, I know if I were to step outside it would be cold. Cold, cold, cold. Of course it’s San Francisco, and as my fiance assures me, ‘the home of no summer’, but still. It’s a cold June.
For the past few weeks I’ve been at this computer, processing images, and during that time I’ve gone through loads of iTunes music and Advil to combat computer monitor headaches, but I’ve also been able to relive the weddings I’ve shot over and over. I won’t lie to you. While I edited Carolyn and Eric’s images I totally and completely teared up.
Their wedding took place at Eric’s family home, and it was not cold. Far from it. More than the temperature, what most struck me at this wedding was how very close their families are. I could only think that 20 years from now, this happy couple will have become a happy family. Congratulations Eric and Carolyn, so glad that I was able to share these moments with you.
