Louriel + Michael = Engaged!

I’d like to give Louriel and Michael some kind of gold star for being so much fun, amazing, and completely willing to be silly. Wondering why they get the gold star? So often on engagement sessions I will tell a couple that I will loosely guide them into poses, and then encourage them to interact with one another, make it their own. The pay off is that hopefully they have an amazing time together, and their true personalities will have the chance to come out in the photography. For one set of images I was simply trying to catch the engagement ring as they were holding hands, before I knew it Michael was dancing with Louriel and had gone completely off track. This is how you get into my gold star hall of fame.

Also? He gave me updates on the Giants game!! Who doesn’t love smart phones?

Enjoy!

Morgan + Anthony = Engaged!

Morgan met Anthony in Southern California while he was in the coast guard. Now they’re here in the Bay Area, he’s in school to become a doctor, and their family? Well. It’s grown a bit.

Items that make cameo appearances? Apparently the worlds cheapest stethoscope. The moment Morgan put them on she yelped that they had hurt her ears, Anthony started laughing and explained that’s why they cost so little. You get what you pay for! Ha! Trust me when I say that I remember getting by on the cheapest camera equipment EVER! Sea shells because they collect them, the beach location was my idea but I love that they were able to wrap a story into it. And the shoes? The super cute red ones? Those are her wedding shoes. Er. Were. They came by post, the mailman tossed them over the fence and into the yard. Also apparently into the doggies mouths. Nice! I love how while she’s wearing them they’re still trying to chew them up!

Oh please please enjoy!

JUMP! For my love!

okay, confession, pictures remind me of songs. But that’s such a cute song!

Fernanda + John = Engaged!

Fernanda met John at a dance club. A dance club she didn’t really want to go to, and John? John didn’t usually go to this club either. A friend made him, and he was planning to bring his friend something to eat and then leave as quickly as he came. Then he saw her, and before he left he made sure to get her number. One of the things I find funny about this story is the first time I saw them they were also dancing.

Enjoy!

Moira + Sean = Engaged!

I laughed so much editing this engagement session. When planning the locations we, naturally, discussed props. When I mention props I always suggest that they be central to who you are, as a couple. When they arrived I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, although from speaking to Moira I knew that Sean has a few loves of his own (cough*robots*cough). What she didn’t mention was her love of soccer. Oh my, when Sean pulled out the soccer ball it was as if a silent bell had gone off and Moira was off in an instant! It cracked me up then. It cracks me up now. Please enjoy.

These pictures are amazing! The photographer captured you both just the way you are. (Is that a song?) I love them all. I have a beautiful son and pretty soon a beautiful daughter. The camera does not lie. Love you both and can hardly wait for wedding pictures too. LOVE, MOM
