Andy + Rachel = Crazy Beautiful Day After

or, ‘Part Two’.

What happens when you take a beautiful couple and combine them with snow, Lake Tahoe, and the fabulous Nina Barbosa? This.

Enjoy,
T

It’s crazy how blue the sky is in Tahoe when the sun comes out

Andy + Rachel = Married Preview Part 1!

The past few months have been so crazy hectic!! Weddings, holidays, trips, just everything under the sun! One of my trips was to Lake Tahoe for Andy and Rachel’s beautiful wedding. Not only was there a wedding, there was a day after session (part two!).

For now please enjoy these preview images, which are crazy beautiful. Snowmen wedding cupcake towers, red shoes, one awesome hot couple, who could ask for more???

Goofy groomsmen are absolutely 100% the best.

Sisters, beautiful sisters!

Kevin took these shots from the side, and I have to say that I love them. The expressions and the mountains just make for an awesome shot.

Andy carried her to and from through the snow, which is oh so romantic. Keep this pic as evidence Rachel!

This last image is from our day after session, and is really a teaser into some of the most gorgeous couple photos I’ve ever taken. It’s amazing what a day after session can look like! More to come.

Natasha + Ray = Preview Part One

As the year draws to a close there are some reworks in process. Changes that will make everything go smoother, quicker, easier. These are all good things! Hence this two part preview, to be followed shortly by the full preview along with slideshow. Upside? More photos! I heart photos. I spent way too much time editing these photos today. I meant to be quick, I meant to be a processing machine, but then I was stopped by all of the loveliness and before I knew it hours had passed. Sigh.

Natasha and Ray exchanged vows at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton surrounded by family and friends. It was a lovely ceremony with tea light and dimly lit chandeliers. Natasha did a beautiful job designing and planning their decor, right down to the invites and signs used at the reception. I hope my photographs live up to their memories. More to come!

Sarah + Dave = Preview Part One!

I’m working on Sarah and Dave’s preview, and there is just so much to share that it’s going to be broken up into two posts. They were married at The Carneros Inn in Napa in a beautiful outdoor ceremony filled with close friends and family. And because I’m going to break this up into two posts I’m going to post an insane amount of photos (because I can) and tell a story using these images (also because I can). What can I say? I’m evil and self-indulgent.

Sarah and Dave were married in the Apple Orchard, and so when I saw this bowl on their nightstand I just couldn’t resist.

I love how Sarah sister watched her getting ready. I know that one day this will be when my own sister gets married.

Photos of Dave getting ready were taken by my lovely assistant Michelle.

Dave looks so happy in this image as Sarah pins his boutonniere.

This gentleman was playing guitar as guests began arriving for the ceremony.

Darker than expected, the evening provided romantic ambience to their ceremony.

Sarah’s father preformed the ceremony.

I love this image of Sarah dancing with her father.

Stay tuned for part 2!

Ruthie + Justin = Married!

You may remember this couples engagement session with me in Lake Tahoe. It was so much fun! So it was good to see them both again on such a fabulous day in their lives. Ruthie did such a fantastic job, her hair was amazing, the guys suits were fab, and the bouquet was truly unique. I hope you enjoy the photos and slideshow!

Rosangel + Mike = Married!

These two were married in the same chapel I graduated in… well, at least part of the day was spent there. I guess technically I graduated outside on the fields. :P

In any case, this location was special and close to my heart. I believe that in the end life circles round, and it really is a small world. There is so much I see on the day a couple get’s married, but in reality, there are so many things that I will never know about them. The little quirks, the little nuances, and that’s what makes capturing one of their biggest moments such an interesting challenge. I am continuously asking, who are you?

If I had to guess I would say Rosangel is the ship on Mikes sea. And although that makes sense to me, I think I’m not going to elaborate, but instead let you fill in the blanks. Enjoy.

Ceremony: Saint Mary’s Chapel
Reception: Contra Costa Country Club

Isn’t Rosangel’s niece just the cutest?

A friend sang their first dance song for them, and it really was beautiful.

Amy + Bret = Married!

You may remember these two from their engagement session.

Well, they’ve gone and done it! I sometimes wonder if the walk to the altar feels a bit like this:

What do you think? Ha.

Amy and Bret were married at a beautiful location under the sun and surrounded by hills. There are so very many images that I won’t take you time with too much text other than to say this, barns, sparker exits, and beautiful cadillacs sure do make a pretty mix. Enjoy!

Ben + Mary = Married!

Or, ‘This is Going to be One of Those Posts’. You know what I mean. The posts that go on and on with photos. Blame it on Ben and Mary. Blame it on their adorable bridal party. Blame it on their beautiful venue, the wonderful day, whatever you want to blame it on (probably me!), go ahead. But this is still going to be one of those posts.

Ben and Mary hired me for their wedding day over a year ago, and I’ll tell you a secret. Until they sent me their signed contract I had no idea their wedding date was the same as my birthday. My thirtieth birthday to be exact. For some reason I had it in my head that they were to be married in June. I searched through my email and found that for some strange reason the date had never come up.

I don’t know what is about birthday’s, but if you are related to me, or are me, then it is pretty much a guarantee that I will be working on your birthday. Or Father’s Day. Or Mother’s Day. I’ve missed all of these dates the past few years, and sometimes it is hard.

Mostly it’s hard for my sister, who didn’t understand why I wouldn’t be attending her 13 birthday this past May. Sigh. That one made me sad. And I don’t know what to say except to say this: all things under the sun have some sort of rider attached. A compromise that takes the bitter with the sweet. I love my career. I love what I do.

It leaves me bone tired and sometimes MIA, but it also brings me great joy and happiness. I was so happy to share in Ben and Mary’s beautiful day. It was a blessing. And no worries, because the next day? I sat bone tired in a bowling alley surrounded by friends and family as I laughed and they sang Happy Birthday.

Congratulations to you both, I hope you love the photos!
