Moira + Sean = Married!

I went out with a girl friend the other night and she mentioned to me that some of her friends had said, regarding me, ‘She laughs at stuff that we don’t know if it’s funny or not’.

Hmm. Okay, I give, that’s SO not the first time I’ve heard that! And no, I don’t laugh out of nervousness, or a lack of something to say, I laugh because I seriously find life to be hilarious. The last thing you need to go wrong going wrong? Okay, sort of funny to me. And if you were to take my laughter away? I feel like I’d be missing a key ingredient to life. So I’m soooo glad Moira and Sean picked me as their photographer.

I know, I know that it was because they love the work I do, and that as artists themselves that was super important to them. But watching Moira laugh all day? I was like, HECK YEAH! And so you’ll see that in these images. And I love how quiet Sean is around her, how he watches her so curiously sometimes, and how they seem to fit like pieces of a well made puzzle. At their ceremony the officiant worked in individual stories they had told them about each other as a couple. The ceremony was the first time they got to hear what the other had said. Moira’s story? Their first date. Sean’s? How he ran into her randomly, the cute girl from work, and worked up the courage to ask her out.

It was a very good day.

While I captured Moira getting ready the fab Michelle took images of Sean and his groomsman. Catch more in the slideshow!

Don’t you just love how much sisters have fun?

I love love love their ceremony images!

Sean got caught not listening to the officiant… oops!

Walking down the aisle, again an image by the fab Michelle.

So while I’m taking your traditional portraits M stands to the side and grabs intimate moments like this one. Beautiful right?

When you unzip the dress bag and you see this? Yeah. You totally sigh and ooh and aaah.

I love how much they loved their reveal

Outside looking in.

This I call a happy accident. As I took this shot a guest took a shot, shooting off their flash, at the same exact moment. I wonder what their image looks like?

Again, more to come!

Moira + Sean = More to come!

Because sneak sneak sneak peeks are awesome.

Lili + Manuel = Married!

The morning of their wedding I called Lili to let her know I was parked, I was roaming the lobby looking for the perfect first location, and oh could you please let me know your room number? When she answered her voice was just as soft and feminine as I remembered, and it reminded me how lucky I was to capture their day.

Lili and Manuel are just sweet. When Lili saw Manu for the first time that day, she had to stop him and tell him how much he looked like James Bond, and Manu could not stop smiling. One of my favorite shots from the formals is a candid I took of him with the girls. All of the girls were talking and suddenly he got this look on his face, as if he just didn’t know what they were talking about, and was slightly over whelmed. A single man surrounded by lovely ladies! They started laughing and so did he.

Later that evening everyone pulled out their wallets for the Money Dance, and I just am so in love with the last image of Lili and Manuel kissing while holding the hands of the flower girl and ring bearer. During his speech Manu said how lovely and welcoming Lili’s family has been, how he feels so at home with them, and how he wasn’t quite sure what he thought of children before he met her. I can say I was so surprised when he said that because all evening the kids had been crawling on him with so much ease.

When we left my second, Michelle, mentioned how that’s what every woman wants. A man to look at her the way Manu looks at Lili. What can I say? It’s a love story.
